Tells the very unique story of a (cross-dressing) staff officer who was involved in many secret assignments in the worrying early days of the war. Written by Dudley Clarke, who features in the recent hit ‘SAS: Rogue Heroes’. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy of a scarce title- the only one presently on the market. This copy is free from previous owners ink, aside from a previous owners ink stamp to the front flyleaf in purple ink, named ‘Gerald Rosenberg’ (possibly the Chicago professor of science and law?). The original publishers green cloth boards are without notable wear aside from a slight bump to the bottom of the spine. The spine tips are slightly worn and the rear panel with some handling marks. There is slight chipping to the top and tail of the spine and some slight rubbing also present. The dust wrapper is finely illustrated with a bright red ‘7’ motif. Published by Jonathan Cape in London, 1948.
